About the role

As Product Owner, you will play a key role in the ongoing development, enhancement and optimisation of the National Lottery's online products and applications. Working closely with UX/UI teams, developers, stakeholders and technology partners, you will ensure our digital products deliver measurable business value, meet customer needs and align with strategic priorities.

You will own product requirements, manage priorities, champion the customer experience and help deliver best-in-class digital solutions for National Lottery players.

This is a hybrid position based in Dublin City Centre 3 days per week.

What you will do

Product Ownership

  • Define and maintain clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions meet business and customer expectations.
  • Define measurement frameworks for new product features.
  • Monitor customer behaviour, engagement and conversion metrics.

Backlog Management & Prioritisation

  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog to maximise business value and delivery efficiency.
  • Balance feature development, technical improvements, operational enhancements and compliance requirements.
  • Track product performance against agreed objectives and KPIs.

Customer Experience

  • Advocate for customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Analyse customer feedback, complaints and support insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure customer journeys are intuitive, consistent and aligned with business goals.
  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles across digital products.
  • Ensure accessibility requirements are embedded within user stories and acceptance criteria.

Business Acceptance Testing

  • Support testing activities, including defect triage and prioritisation.
  • Validate functionality, customer journeys and business processes prior to release.
  • Assist with release planning and deployment readiness activities.
  • Ensure appropriate business sign-off processes are completed.

What we are looking for

Essential Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Product Owner or in a similar digital product role.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience managing digital product backlogs and prioritisation.
  • Strong understanding of product management principles and customer-centric development practices.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and clearly document business requirements.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A goal-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Degree qualification, ideally in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems or a related discipline.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with digital customer journeys and online products.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision making and product performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of National Lottery digital products.
